Mentee News: Kutemwa receives several accolades for her research!

Dr. Fariha's mentee Kutemwa Masafwa (founder of F1 Internships) has been recognized with the following awards for her contributions in the field of Chemistry: 

- American Institute of Chemists 2024 Student Award- for leadership, character, and scholarship, for the achievement and advancement potential in chemical professions. 

- American Chemical Society Division of Inorganic Chemistry Student Award

- Excellence in Undergraduate Research Award (Xavier University of Louisiana) 

- Excellence in Synthesis Laboratory Award (Xavier University of Louisiana)

In addition to these awards, Kutemwa spent the summer of 2024 at the University of California-Davis conducting research under the mentorship of Dr. Jesus M. Velazquez.
